Valentine's Day

So...Mine came a little late but it is ok. On Wednesday we had decided that V day was kind of pointless and neither Chad or I cared if we celebrated it. So we agreed that we had already spent too much money on the car so we weren't going to spend any money on the 14th. So we spent the eveining in watching movies, and the Office of couse. (Chad is addicted to that show!) Anyway before we had decided not to get each other anything, I had ordered Chad some cufflinks from Ebay (my addiction). So I gave him those and a card and Chad gave me nothing...which I was fine with! But Yesterday after work Chad picked me up and when I got in the car he said Happy Valentines day and handed me a bag. It had a chocolate gift basket with a little teddy bear in it. He was planning on getting it for me I guess but it was from a specialty store down town and he hadn't been down there in time. It was a nice surprise yesterday though. I think he felt bad. He asked the woman who owns the shop put the basket together for me. She had already taken apart all of the baskets. Anyway...i took a picture of it, i just forgot my camera so I can post it later.

Other than that we had a fun a relaxing weekend. We hung out with Logan and Katrina on Saturday. On Sunday Chad's Grandfather was being set apart as the new stake patriarch. We were invited to that and then a little lunch. It is pretty cool though. He is 84 and that is a huge calling. He will do a great job though. Chad's grandfather and my grandfather are very similar. They have a lot of the same qualities and have held a lot of the same callings. My grandfather actually gave me my patriarcial blessing and he sealed Chad and I in the temple. They are both great men!

Anyway, work has been very slow today...I have been putting together a bunch of recipe's for the YW's fundrasier. Which we are accepting any recipe's for...so if you have a good one let me know and I can add it to the list!

STRESS!!!

So I am stressed!! Friday was not a good day! Actually last week in general was pretty awful!
So as I said before we were getting our car fixed and it was supposed to be done on Wednesday, but it didn't end up being ready until Friday...so ok that's fine. Chad went and picked up the car on Friday afternoon. Everything sounded good. Then on his way to pick me up he got in an accident! Like he had the car for like less than an hour after spending a pretty huge amount to fix it and this happens. Chad is ok, it wasn't the worst accident, but I have a feeling it is going to cost us quite a bit to fix it. We dont have collision on our car and Chad wasn't the one with right of way in the accident so we have to pay for it ourselves. It wasn't Chad's fault, but it wasn't the other guys fault either. It is getting looked at today! So we will see!

I have had a twitch in my eye like all weekend and I cant get rid of it! I think it is because I am stressed! If you have any remedies for twitches...let me know! Everything seems to go bad all at once! It's quite unfortunate!

The rest of the weekend wasn't too bad. We hung out with Brant and Melissa on Saturday. Reese is walking now, she has been taking a few steps here and there but last week she started to really move! She will be 1 on the 27th. I cant believe how fast time goes by!

Yesterday we went to Bridgewater for church. Chad had to go for Stake meetings and he had to speak. He did a good job. Then later were invited to Chad's grandparents for dinner. Today is Chad's Grandfather's 84th birthday so we had dinner and cake together yesterday. It was a good time.

Now, today I am back to work after a lousy sleep and I cant wait for the day to be over.
Bring on 5 o'clock!

Obsessed!

So I am just loving the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I have only read the first book and I am totally obsessed with it. I have been dying to get my hands on the next one. I bought the 1st book last Friday and finished it on Monday. It was my plan to go after work on Tuesday to go to Chapters and pick up the next one however our car needed to be saftey inspected and did not pass so it was getting fixed and I was with out transportation. I could have taken the bus, but it was snowing....no thanks. So our car is still getting fixed...(hopefully we get it back today) and then I will be able to get to Chapters. There are 3 books in the series out now and the 4th one comes out in August...I dont know if I can wait that long!

So...without a car we have also been putting off grocery shopping...we are getting pretty low. It's sad. We have our food storage and everything but we go shopping every week for the next week's food. I think that needs to change!

So the whole house thing has been put on hold for right now...I am totally bummed. I need to get out of that apartment. We ran into a few problems so we need to figure that all out first. I really would like to at least move to a bigger apartment but I dont want to sign a year lease. The one and only good thing about our apartment now is that is has always been month to month.

I am excited that it is almost the weekend. Today totally feels like Friday though. Which means tomorrow is going to be brutal! Chad has to go to Bridgewater for Stake Meetings this sunday. Hopefully I can with him. He is speaking...i love to hear him speak.

ROME!!

So my little sister Laura got her Mission call yesterday! She called me at about 12 noon and said it came in the mail. She was soooo excited and wanted to open it right then but Mom wouldn't let her open it until everyone was home from work. They arranged a conference call for 6 pm. I dont dont even know everyone who was on the phone...My parents and siblings, me and Chad, both sets of grandparents, my cousin Clara, my Aunt Leslie and Uncle Owen, I think I am forgetting someone...but it was pretty fun. Laura opened it with all of us listening intently. She will be serving in Rome Italy!! She will be going to the MTC in Provo for 9 weeks and will be learning Italian! She leaves April 30th!

So, I was way off with my guess of Texas! But that's ok...Italy is much cooler! Laura will be an amazing missionary! Everyone she meets likes her within seconds. She will do great! And she will be buying me some shoes and purses...right La?

Anyway, that is so exciting that I cant follow it with anything else...
