Chad is 27!!

This was a busy weekend, but the most important part was Chad's birthday! On the 27th, Chad turned 27! His "champagne" or golden birthday! So I decided it called for a little sparkling apple juice!

We invited Chad's family over for some cake sunday evening. It is always fun having everyone get together. I especially love seeing our niece's and nephew. Eva and Bjorn are getting so big!

This is Chad blowing out the candles...with a little help from Calla. I was at a bad angle for picture taking.

I am pretty sure Chad has a good day. One of the presents I gave him was a 3D puzzle of a globe that came with a stand. He put it together last night...it looks pretty awesome, I forgot to take a picture though.

I think Chad is amazing in so many ways! He really does have strength in areas that I lack and I think we make a good team! I love you Chad and I hope you had a fun birthday!

Also this weekend we had a youth activity where every ward was required to build a type of go cart to have races with. This is Halifax's version of a go cart...it turned out really well. We didn't win the over all racing part, but we were given an award for the most intimidating!

Now that I wrote down what we did this weekend it doesn't seem like a whole lot but it seemed really busy! I am looking forward to a little relaxing this week!

There was a wedding and then we went on a trip!!

Well, to start out...on Aug 29th my big sister got married. Amy and Steve decided to have there wedding in my parents back yard. It was set up a nice in the yard but they were calling for rain. Luckily my parents house in across the street from the church so at 11am the morning of the wedding, we moved everything over to the church to avoid the rain. It was a busy morning. The wedding started at 2pm and me and Amy started getting ready at 1:20.
But all went smoothly after that, the rain held out until after the pictures and i think everyone had some fun. Oh yeah...I made her wedding cake. It was very simple, but it was exactly what she wanted.

Here are some pictures that the photographers took.

Then Chad and I had taken a week off of work and went with Amy and Steve to Ontairo... just what every newly married couple dreams of...chaperones on their honeymoon. ;) We hung out for the week and then they went to Niagra Falls for their real honeymoon so dont feel too bad for them!
We had a lot of fun though. We went to Canada's wonderland twice where we went on all but 1 or 2 rollarcoasters! We didn't bring a camera cause we didn't want to carry it around all day. SO no pictures, however, they have this insane rollarcoaster call the Behemoth, it is brand new this year and it is insane. The first drop is 70 meters (230 feet) at 125km/h and a 75 degree angle. It's crazy! You can check it out here: http://behemoth.canadaswonderland.com/public/ride/

We also went to the zoo. Chad loved it! He really should have went into zoology or something!
I love that the Rhino's were kissing!

We did some shopping. We bought new dressers from Ikea. We are buling a new bed frame that will match.

And we did a quick stop by the temple at night. Chad and I wanted to do a session but our recommends expired while we were away and we realized too late to do anything about it before we left.

This is us outside the temple, little self portriate!

I also had my first Krispy Kreme experience. It was heavenly!

And my first Denny's experience...this was taken at Denny's.

Also, one of my favorite foods is Jerked Pork! I love it!! And I cant find it around here. They have a Mr. Jerk in Brampton (where we were staying) and we got some the first night we were there! I love it! If anyone knows where to get it around here let me know!!

We had a lot of fun! It was the fist real trip Chad and I had ever taken together.
We will have to do it more often!
Also, a big thanks to my uncle and aunt who let us stay with them while we were there! You are fabulous!!
