30 Days

I have 30 days left till the due date! I am kinda freaking out a little! I cant wait to meet this little girl but I am worried I wont recognize the signs of labor in time and end up having her at home! I know this sounds a little crazy, but hey I am pregnant and somewhat irrational!
I think we are pretty much equiped with all of baby's necessaties but I have a question for the masses.....

What are some important things to bring with me to the hospital that I might not have thought of? For both me and baby?

Wow, that went by fast! I can't believe you only have a month left! Have you registered with the hospital yet? They will give you a list of things that you need to bring. And believe me, you will know if you are in labor. I know you hear those crazy stories of women that have babies at home but you will know. And if in doubt just head down to the hospital! They've sent plenty of women home in false labor but I'd rather be safe than sorry!

Good luck! I'm really excited for you guys! Having a 1st baby is always so special! Take care!

First babies don't usually come that fast so you probably don't have to worry too much about that this time, but perhaps next time;) As far as what to bring; less is more. I brought way too much with Hunter! It's no fun taking all your stuff from the birthing room to your hospital room. Then when it is time to pack up and come home you generally have more because people tend to bring you stuff. Some essientals I always liked having: new pj's to ware, a pair of slippers, something comfy to wear home, diaper wipes and snacks. I found the hospital had everything that I needed; especially if you ask!

I agree with Tanya...I just made sure I had a few sleepers and the coming home outfit for the baby. Jammies and comfy clothes (you will probably want yoga pants or sweats to come home in). Usual toiletries (soap, shampoo etc). They do have diapers at the hospital but not wipes. OH and this time I brought my own towel because the ones they have at the hospital are tiny.

Definitely some comfortable clothes for you (easy to put on and take off)
and maybe something to do (a book, magazine, puzzle book, music etc) I know the last two friends I visited in the hospital were super bored during non-visiting hours both before and after labour.
Also, knowing you, you'll want to do your makeup afterwards... so bring that :) Then you won't necessarily hate the pictures I take.

You'll know when your in labour!! Don't worry about that. I didn't like the mesh undies they give you in the hospital so I always brough my own to wear and bring extra's. Also slippers or flip flop and lots of wipes cause the hospital doesn't have them.

Bring Chad for sure (if you still think he is the father), don't forget smokes, I don't think they sell them at the hospital. Digital TV would be great, don't forget sunscreen, cooler, foldout chairs for people to watch in the delivery room, a camera crew would be ideal so Chad could sleep and still not miss anything. Any servants that you use at home would be good to take with you...lol Seriously Ashley, Joon and I are so very happy for you, don't worry, you will do fine, what ever you need you will find it and if you don't have it, you prob don't need it!! lol s a Mom you will know when your little girl is coming and the feeling you will have when you hold your miracle in your arms is indescribably precious and life changing!!! I still think "Dave" is the best name for her...Stop worrying and have the damned baby!!! LOL Congrats to you and Chad!!!
