It's a...

...so I was totally wrong. I thought for sure Baby Q was a boy, but they proved me wrong at 3D Miracles! We are having a very cute little girl! Well, I think she is cute!! Now I can start shopping and making decisions!

Boy or Girl?

I have a little poll on the side of my blog now. It will be there until May 25 at 4pm. Chad and I are going to find out if Baby Q is a boy or a girl on the 25th at 4:45pm!! I am so excited to know.
So get your guesses in and I will post a picture and the gender when we get back from the appointment.

Repairs...

Our life has been a little hectic lately! On April 7th I was at home around lunch time when the fire alarm went off in our building. It was not a plaaned on so I evcauated. Me and another lady were out side wondering what was going on. We found the Super and he told us that there was no fire and we could go back to our apartments. We had been outside for maybe 10 minutes. I walk back into my apartment and there is a waterfall of water coming from our ceiling in the dining area. I ran an told the super. It turns out that the guy upstairs broke one of the sprinkler heads and set off the system. His apartment was flooding and so ours was flooding too.

The super got it all under control pretty quickly. Not without a lot of damage doe to the ceiling and floor of our apartment. We stayed at Chad's brother's place for the rest of that week. We were waiting to hear when they would be starting to fix the place. Well, last thursday they started the repairs. It was the 22nd! It took them so long to figure out what insurance company was responsible blah blah...so we are the ones suffering! The repairs should be done by the end of this week! We have had fun hanging out with Calla, Reese and Bjorn. They are pretty funny kids! It will be nice to have our own space again, but we happy we have such welcoming family that let us stay with them!

Our baby is doing well I believe. I have heard the heart beat 2 times so far and my doctor says the heart beat is very good. She said it is slow and I am carrying quite low. She thinks it's a boy, which I have thought it was a boy for a while now. We will have to wait and see. We are going to make an appointment with 3D miracles for the end of May.
Last night I felt the baby move for the first time! It was a weird fluttering feeling. I have felt it a few times this morning as well. It's pretty awesome! I just love this kid so much already!!

I might take a belly picture soon. I am just barely showing now, I will probably post one soon.

Baby Dreams

I have a question for all of the Mother's out there.
While you were pregnant, did you dream about your baby? If so, were you accurate when it came to the gender of the baby?

Cake

I had a request to post a picture of the cake I just did for the Relief Society birthday. Here it is:

And, just to add a little bit of what is going on with life... Tomorrow I will be 15 weeks. I am pretty excited! Everything seems to be going well. It has taken us a long time and some complications to get here but we are happy to have made it to this stage. I get to hear the heart beat next week which I am really excited about.

More on that later!

Due Date September 18,2010!

The Holiday's

It has been a very busy couple of weeks. First there was Christmas, which was a lot of fun. We were in Halifax for Christmas day. Chad and I woke up relatively early. We opened presents from each other and I made waffles for breakfast. That is one tradition I wanted to start this year. They were only ok because it was my first attempt. I will have to perfect that skill by next christmas. That afternoon we went and visited Chad's family. We had a great dinner at Chad's brothers place and stayed there until midnight watching movies and playing with the kids.


This is my tree...I say "my" because Chad hates it. I have to say that this year it looks better with the normal white lights, verus last year with the dang rope light!


Then boxing day, bright and early we left to go to my parents place. We exchanged gifts there and since we were all together my older sister inisted we do a family picture. She is the photographer in the family and dispite her love of taking pictures....she hates taking our family picture cause we like to complain through the whole process. It turned out nice though.



New Years came quickly after that and my sisters were planning a party. They asked me to make a cake for it. So I did and we spent new years with my family and friends. It was a fun night.


Then 3 days later it was my birthday (I told you it was busy).
I am now 26 years old. It is hard to believe! I am not really sure what happened to the last 5 years to make them go by so quickly! Chad had invited family over to have cake and ice cream on my birthday. Just before he brought the cake out he asked me for candles...i said we didn't have any. That didn't discourage Chad...he is quite creative! I had match candles. Thanks babe! You are the best!


Now it is January 6th and I have offically given my notice at work and my last day will be Jan 22nd. This has been coming for a long time and I am so happy to have finally done it!

I have been told by Caverly that "this is our year"...I am hoping that 2010 is a great year!
