On Feb 27 2007 at about 5pm Brant and Melissa Quist welcomed a new member into the Quist family. They had a baby girl who weighed 9lbs 13. And after about a week, she was finally given a name. Reese Megan Quist is my new little neice. I cant believe she will be a moth old tomorrow. Time flies. She is so cute, and she is getting strong very quickly. Calla who is going to be 3 in August, is a very good big sister. There doesn't seem to be much rivalry...yet. I always try to give Calla alot of attention when we are over there so she doesn't feel left out.
I just tried to post a picture of the girls but i didn't work, I will try again later.
The weekend was pretty good. Chad and I went to Bridgewater on friday because he had a church meeting. That was the first time I had been there. It's a nice little town. I like the chapel there, it is very different from the others. Then on saturday I had stake meetings in Dartmouth where I had to give a half hour presentation. I was glad when that was over. Saturday night we watched The Prestige with Brant and Melissa. It was a pretty good movie. Parts of it were kinda slow. I couldn't believe how different David Bowie looked.
Then on sunday morning Chad decides it is time for a hair cut. I was tried to convince him that we didn't have time before church. Mainly because I dont like when he cuts his hair. He thinks it is too long and shaggy and I think it is too short(even before he cuts it). Has anyone ever seen Chad's hair shaggy?? So he did it anyway. He uses his clipper set, but yesterday by accident he used a 4 instead of a 6...it is so short. He doesn't like it either, he thinks it is too short. I was going to take a picture and post it, but I thought that would just be a little cruel seeing as how he dosen't like it that much either. Hopefully it will grow faster than it usually does. I also made a cake on sunday. I made boiled icing that turned out pretty good even though I blew the motor on the hand mixer.
Oh yes, how could I forget? There was NCAA basketball this weekend! It is almost over, I think we have 2 more days of it this next coming weekend. However, I am still in the running. One guy is a head of me and the other guy I am tied with. He is a little ticked that he is tied with a girl. It is so close I am at 41 points and the guy in the lead is at 42. I really want to win. There is no money involved, just the sastifactory of winnig!
Ok, time to do some work...is it 5 O'clock yet?

Elder Peters' Return
Well, it has been 2 years. Bobby Peters has arrived home from Mexico. He was serving a mission for the Church for the past 2 years. It was a great reunion for us all at the Halifax International Airport. Bobby's family (of course),Dean and Jen Durant (travelled from Alberta), Friends that travelled from Cape Breton (Scott, Justin and Robyn), and lots of the YSA. It was a fun night. Bobby looked great, it was good to see him after so long. Here are some pictures that i have "borrowed" from Laura and Tara.
It's a short one today, but I am at work and it is almost 5 Oclock (my favorite time of the day) and I get to go home soon. Woohoo!!

A Begining
So I have decided to try this blog thing.
To start I thought I would talk about where life has taken me up to this point.
I have graduated from St Mary's University with a commerce degree majoring in Human Resource Management. I am working at a job placement agency as a recruiter. It's not really fun but it's a job. I am married to a wonderful guy, Chad, who is so cute and perfect. He is working as an Electrician Apprentice and after 4 years hopefully he will get his trade ticket. We live in Clayton Park and cant wait to move into a house.
Now for the good stuff...I should say why we are so eager to move into a house. Mainly because crazy stuff happens to us in apartments. Our latest experience happened about 3 weeks or a month ago. We were pleasenty sleeping in our bed when I heard 2 guys fighting out in the hall. I was ticked that they woke me up and went to see what was going on (through the peep hole of course). So there were 2 guys yelling at each other in the hallway, then they started to fight. All of a sudden the 2 guys came barreling through our door. They broke the door frame and there was blood and stuff all over the place. Anyway it turned out one of the guys lived in the building...he got evicted, we got our door fixed, and now we await the next crazy adventure. Good times at 200 Willett St!
We are doing a NCAA (basketball) pool here in my office. So far I am 2 for 3. I think I will win!
I really dont know much about University basketball, but I am confident in my picks! I just really want to beat out the guys in my office!
Anyway seeing as I am at work I should probably get back to it, I will post again soon. Maybe add some pictures with the next one! (baby steps!)
